Anyone down for a free haircut?!

Hey guys!
Anyone interested in getting a free (and awesome) haircut this Monday?

I'm a professional hairstylist. Currently work at a salon in Hollywood. I trained and worked for Vidal Sassoon for five years in San Francisco. But now I am looking to move to a new salon, which is located in Silver Lake, and they would like to see my work. So I need a few models for this Monday!

I'm looking for two models.
One is for a men's haircut. Preferably a shorter look with some length on top, But I am flexible with this. There just needs to be enough grown out so I can cut a new shape into it.
The other is for a woman's cut, about bob length (around chin length and slightly longer). It doesn't have to be a classic one length, can have some layers.

It will take about 45 minutes to an hour, at either 10am or 11am.
At Gamine Salon located at 2845 W. Sunset Blvd at Silverlake Blvd.

Let me know if you are interested or have any questions!
Thanks!

*i also posted in the los_angeles community, so sorry if you are seeing this twice!

Tales of an Unsettled City: Exodus is back!

The fourth and final installment of the wildly popular Theatre Unleashed late-night theatre series, Tales of an Unsettled City: Exodus examines where we are going and why, as well as how we feel about where we’ve been. This series of short comedic and dramatic vignettes explores the many definitions of the term “exodus” and the unique consequences and possibilities each possesses for anyone and everyone ready to move on to the unforeseeable future.

Holiday Hangover: An Anthology for the Seasonally Affected

Holiday Hangover an Anthology for the Seasonally AffectedIt blindsides you. The decorations pop up in the local retail stores, Santa starts sipping Coke on billboards and chipmunks begin polluting the airwaves. You tell yourself it will all be over soon, but you still dread another "unforgettable" holiday season. We feel your pain. This year, commiserate with Theatre Unleashed as we bring you sordid stories from the day after Christmas in Holiday Hangover: An Anthology for the Seasonally Affected. Drown those yuletide blues in eggnog spiked with a bit of dark comedy... because sometimes there are holiday memories we'd rather forget. Details behind the cut!Collapse )

Don't forget - Pay What You Can Sundays for "Landscaping the Den of Saints!"

landscaping the den of saints - pay what you can sundays
Playwright and stage director Jacob Smith packs in a lot of meaty dialogue and awareness that is rightfully suitable for a small stage setting.
Review of Landscaping the Den of Saints
Rich Borowy – Accessibility Live, October 2009

Landscaping the Den of Saints is a rather earthy look on how getting into “show biz” can turn its ugly head. Witnessing this kind of theatre in a smaller playhouse proves to itself that big things do come in small packages!

TU announces "Pay What You Can" Sundays for "Landscaping the Den of Saints"

landscaping the den of saints - pay what you can sundays
A TU original by Jacob Smith, Landscaping the Den of Saints explores the hysterically destructive relationship between a floundering writer and an eccentric millionaire with a rampant desire to indulge in his many addictions. Real and audacious, this multi-leveled dark comedy digs into the artist's desire to do (and deal with) anything to reach creative and financial success, capturing those increasingly uneasy moments that happen along the way.

For more information about the show, check out the press release, or get a more personal perspective with Jim Martyka's Artist In Process blogs. His latest two entries, "All I Need to Know I learned Landscaping the Den of Saints" & "Tech Week! Yay!!!" can be found by clicking on the titles.

"Pin-Up Girls" - The Interview

San Francisco, 1942 - as the girls of the High Jinks Burlesque Club welcome their newest assistant in their own way. A Theatre Unleashed Original! "Pin-Up Girls" follows a troupe of San Francisco burlesque dancers as they encounter the new-found freedom American women discovered during World War II, forcing them to reshape traditional gender roles for good. It is a play that finds inspiration in the classic screw ball comedies of Frank Capra and Howard Hawkes, and yet lives as a piece of entertainment all to itself. Writer/director Andrew Moore harnesses the music and style of the time to capture the sexy world of burlesque, creating not just a show, but an entertainment experience like no other!

Exactly. Curtain's at 8. Be there by 7:30. I'll see you afterward. =)

Theatre Unleashed presents The Tempest Preview Night!
When: September 4th @ 8pm
